Love Island fan favourite Maura Higgins has opened up about her "very healthy" sex life with ex Curtis Pritchard.

In her new reality show, Maura Higgins: Are Ya Joking Me?, Maura spills the beans to her personal trainer as they prepare her to take on an obstacle course.

Filmed before Maura and Curtis split, the show saw Maura guided through four weeks of intense preparation.

Putting in the hours with personal trainer Paul Olima, Maura went through a ballet lesson with 85 year old Esther Fairfax.

In a raunchy exchange, Esther bluntly asked Maura if she and her boyfriend had a "healthy sex life."

"Yeah!" Maura told, "Very healthy!"

Esther went on to explain that the pelvic tilts they'd practiced would be a benefit for the bedroom.

"The tilt is very, very beneficial for sex," she explained, "The tilt is the essence of good posture, good sex and happy days."

It was reported they'd decided to call time on their relationship following a number of rows, following an eight month romance.

They made it to the final, earning fourth place, the cash prize going to Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea.

Since it was filmed last autumn, Curtis makes an appearance as he and Maura head out for a romantic rickshaw date.

After her brutal training, Maura tells him: "My legs are like jelly and I've got frostbite. Every time I think about it I actually cry.

"I don't wanna do it."

Curtis replies: "Whatever you do I'm proud of you."

Maura and Curtis aren't dating, despite fan hopes

More recently, it was rumoured that Maura had struck up a romance with Love Island co-star Chris Taylor, something they've both denied.

Chris was booted from the show just ahead of the final, coupling up with Harley Brash.

Chris told recently that he and Maura are just "close mates", despite fan hopes they were an item after being spotted together.
