MasterChef: The Professionals 2020: What happened to the missing contestant?

AN episode of MasterChef: The Professionals saw one of the contestants edited it out.

The show won't comment on why this happened on November 24.

What happened to the fourth chef on MasterChef?

An episode aired on November 24, had one of the contestants missing from the footage.

Normally four chefs compete in an episode, but when the show opened a statement read: "This programme has been edited and features 3 of the original 4 contestants who took part."

Viewers think the edited-out contestant is a man.

The cooking show only included Burhan from Coventry, Guillame from London and Scott from Manchester.

Why was the chef edited out?

A MasterChef spokesperson confirmed to The Sun Online: "Due to unforeseen circumstances concerning one of our contestants, the programme was edited to remove their appearance."

No further explanation as to why has been given.

It's peaked the interest of viewers who want to know what happened off-screen for this to occur.

What has the reaction been?

Many have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, with some Tweets gaining thousands of reactions.

One senior journalist at the BBC tweeted: "I don't even watch MasterChef: The Professionals but this happened last night and I need to know the backstory which seems to be shrouded in secrecy."

Tom Hourigan then replied to his tweet with: "This was the first thing I asked my TV producer girlfriend about this morning.

"Her response: 'Well it must have been something big'.

Others are posting theories (which haven't been confirmed or verified) - one account claims to know a camerawoman on the show who said the edited-out contestant swore at judge Marcus Wareing.

Someone else theorised the reason was "crime related".

Despite all the social media investigation taking place, no one can confirm why a contestant was removed from the show.

MasterChef: The Professionals will continue TONIGHT (December 2) at 9pm.
