Massive magnitude 6.2 earthquake strikes off Alaska coast

A MASSIVE 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Alaska.

The United States Geological Survey reported the massive earthquake Tuesday morning, and so far have reported little or no structural damage to the near by regions

According to the Geological Survey, the earthquake jolted the southeast area of Nikolski, Alaska

The earthquake occurred at a moderately shallow depth of 24 miles beneath the epicenter Tuesday morning.

Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should have been widely felt by almost everyone in the area of the epicenter.

The nearby regions include Anchorage, Alaska (889.5 miles), Eagle River, Alaska (902.5 miles), Knik-Fairview, Alaska (908.6 miles) and Anadyr, Chukotka, Russia (954.5 miles).
