Marcus Rashford gives Man Utd massive injury boost as forward reveals back problem ‘feels 10 times better’ now

MARCUS RASHFORD says he feels "10 times better" as he recovers from a double stress fracture in his back.

The news will give Manchester United a huge boost as it was originally thought the 22-year-old would miss the rest of the season.

Rashford hobbled off during United's FA Cup replay with Wolves at Old Trafford in January just 15 minutes after coming on.

He was in a red-hot run of form having scored seven in his previous eight Premier League games which was half of his 14 goal haul for the campaign.

But speaking to Sky Sports News, the England ace says he is well on the road to recovery.

He said: "I feel much better. I have a scan in another couple of days and that should solidify it, but I feel much better compared to two or three weeks ago.

"I feel 10 times better now. For me, now it's just about getting ready to build up back up to training and then playing games for the team.

"I'm in a much better place. I'm much happier than I was about a month ago so things are looking positive."

Coronavirus has seen Premier League action halted until at least April 30.

But with Euro 2020 moved to next year and Prem games potentially being played over the summer, Rashford could contribute to his side's push for a Champions League spot.

However, the forward's focus remains on getting through lockdown and back to fitness.

He added: "Everyone is just dealing with the circumstances as well as they can.

"I've just been in my house doing my gym work and recovery, reading books, watching Netflix and just doing what I can do to make the time pass further.

"There's not really anything you can do that comes close to being in the changing room and being in the team, so I'm not trying to chase that high.

"I had to have time off anyway because of my injury but I'm fortunate enough to have a bike in the gym downstairs.

"Not much in that sense has actually changed for me because I can still do my daily routine that I was doing."

Earlier this week, Gary Neville came up with a five point plan that would see the English top flight finished but Piers Morgan dubbed it irrelevant.
