7-year-old girl kidnapped and sexually assaulted on street

Police arrested a man and launched an emergency search after a 7-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted.

Detectives said they believed the victim was taken into a wooded area after being snatched by a man from the street in Droylsden, Greater Manchester.

She was then taken to a van where she was sexually assaulted before being left in the woods and finding her own way to a nearby park, Greater Her Manchester Police said.
