Manchester United must put their defeat against Leicester behind them ahead of Wednesday's game against Atalanta.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and forward Marcus Rashford spoke to the press on Tuesday afternoon as they looked ahead of that Champions League encounter versus Atalanta and the pair explained how United intended to respond to the 4-2 Leicester defeat.

"You know, I think at a club like Manchester United, as soon as you lose a game, this is what happens.," Rashford said.

"I think for us as players, we have to just go back to basics, we have to look at ourselves and see what we can do better. We’ve had the conversation as a team, as we would do whether we win a game or lose a game.

"We know that the next game is another opportunity to improve and that’s the aim."

United head into the match third in Group F and know an improved performance will be needed against the Italian side, who currently occupy top-spot and are the only team still unbeaten in the group.

Solskjaer gives Manchester United team news

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United 'more or less' have a full squad for their game against Atalanta.

United returned from the international break when visiting Leicester in the Premier League at the weekend, however, their return to domestic commitments couldn't have gone much worse with Solskjaer's side delivering yet another poor display.

Leicester won that game 4-2 at the King Power Stadium, but United have the opportunity to react to that defeat on Wednesday.

United host Italian side Atalanta at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and, after winning their first three points of the new Champions League campaign against Villarreal, Solskjaer will be hoping this match can represent the chance to return to winning ways.
