It's time for the big one! Manchester United take on bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Having started the campaign in blistering fashion, the Old Trafford giants stuttered either side of the international break - although they did get back to winning ways against Atalanta.

Goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo settled the scores as United completed another dramatic European comeback.

Back to domestic business, it doesn't get any bigger or more important than this.

Bruno Fernandes has issued United with a welcome injury boost ahead of the Premier League showdown - having been pictured with the squad at their Lowry Hotel base.

Off the pitch, meanwhile, the rumour mill continues to throw up some interesting names across the board.

Lingard would favour Everton move - reports

Jesse Lingard would prefer a move to Everton if he leaves Old Trafford this January - according to reports on Saturday.

Having been cast aside by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season, the England international headed to West Ham on loan and rekindled his best form with nine goals and five assists in 16 appearances.

It wasn't quite enough to see him included in the Three Lions squad for Euro 2020, though.

Keen to remain as part of the international set-up for the World Cup, academy graduate Lingard - now 28 - has been linked with the Toffees, West Ham and Saudi-backed Newcastle.

According to Football Insider, it is the Merseyside club who are winning the race for him right now.

Fernandes INCLUDED in United squad

United have been handed a HUGE injury boost for their Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

Having been rated as doubtful for the Old Trafford contest, Bruno Fernandes has teamed up with the United squad and was, subsequently, pictured on arrival at their pre-match Lowry Hotel base.

Marcus Rashford has also been captured on camera around the hotel; offering another fitness boost to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of the Super Sunday meeting.

During a midweek comeback win over Atalanta, the England forward - who underwent shoulder surgery during this summer - had to be taken off with a dead leg.

But he and Fernandes are, seemingly, back in time for the big one.
