Manchester United suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday as they fell 1-0 to Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
Kortney Hause scored a late header for the visitors to give them the lead in the 88th minute, before conceding a penalty for handling Edinson Cavani's header.
Bruno Fernandes picked up the ball and placed it on the spot, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, and blasted the ball way over the bar as United were beaten for the third time in four games and for the second consecutive home game in all competitions.
Fernandes took to social media to apologise long after the final whistle with a long statement but United must put it behind them ahead of Wednesday's Champions League tie against Villarreal.
In transfer news, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen on signing 23-year-old RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele.
The French international's contract is due to expire at the end of next season so United could potentially attract him on a cut-price deal next summer to compete for a spot at right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
