Berbatov: Sancho ‘wouldn’t think twice’ about joining Man Utd
Former United player Dimitar Berbatov believes Jadon Sancho would ‘jump at the chance’ to move to Old Trafford.
The Bulgarian, who famously snubbed Manchester City to join United because ‘their history could not compete’ with the Red Devils, thinks the opportunity to play for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team would be too good to turn down.
"This week there's been a lot of talk about Jadon Sancho moving to Manchester United, in his case, because he's English and Man United are in for you, I don't think he will think twice about moving there," he said.
"I have said it before, he has the quality, the pace, the goals and the assists to play for them, I'm sure he would like to continue in the national team as well and Gareth Southgate will watch him more if he is playing in the Premier League.”
Berbatov was also full of praise for the United manager’s project. “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is slowly, but surely, building up a team of young players with a mix of experience,” he added. “As we can see, it has been getting results, so it's good to see them moving in the right direction and if Sancho is next then it will be great for the team."

Juventus to offer Dybala or Pjanic and £55m for Pogba
Juventus will step up their pursuit of Paul Pogba this summer by offering Man Utd £55million for the Frenchman, plus either Paulo Dybala or Miralem Pjanic, reports The Daily Mirror.
Pogba could leave Old Trafford, and amid reported interest from Real Madrid, the Italian giants are set to make an opening player-plus-cash offer.
Dybala almost joined Tottenham Hotspur last summer, only for an audacious last-minute move to fall through, while Pjanic has fallen out of favour in Turin.
Bruno Fernandes ‘proud’ to receive good Ronaldo reference
Manchester United’s latest star has been speaking of his pride at being bought by such a big club.
“Signing for Manchester was the same feeling as when I signed for Sporting in Portugal: the dream of playing for a major club in Portugal, of being in the Premier League, of representing the best English club in recent years,” he said, per the Daily Express.
Fernandes also admitted to feeling his own achievements in the game were validated by the glowing review he received from Cristiano Ronaldo.
“The fact that Cristiano gave good references to people who were asking about me before my signing makes me proud of what I have been doing,” he added.
Man Utd want to sign Lyon wonderkid Rayan Cherki
United want to sign 16-year-old wonderkid Rayan Cherki from Lyon this summer, but face competition for his signature from Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus.
The teenager has only made four senior appearances for the French outfit but is already being touted as the next big thing.
However, Real Madrid reportedly have first option on Cherki, and the forward, who scored four goals in a Coupe de France win against Nantes this season, is said to view Real as a dream move.
