Manchester City have made their move for Jack Grealish and Manchester United fans have made it their mission to ruin City fans' mood about it all.

MEN Sport reported on Friday afternoon that City had finally made their move for the Aston Villa captain, submitting a £100m bid for Grealish in order to get a deal over the line as quickly as possible.

But in similar fashion to what City fans did when United finally agreed a fee to sign Jadon Sancho earlier this month, rival fans have dug up an old tweet from the England international that could make the most hardcore Blue look sideways at the deal.

Back in 2012, the 25-year-old tweeted out the following messages;

"On route to training, finally im back training n the suns shining, absolutley BUZZING for the game tonight, come on u reds #United "

The tweet obviously shows that Grealish was a Red growing up, considering he would've been 17 at the time the tweet was sent out.

But in a reminder that anything that goes on the internet is seemingly there forevser, United fans have used it to show City that their new star man was once rooting against them.

The offer from Pep Guardiola's side is yet to be accepted by Villa and there is a suggestion that Grealish is torn on whether to leave his boyhood club for City or stay and sign a new deal.

He is set to return from holiday next week when he is expected to communicate a decision.
