Man stabbed to death and second rushed to hospital after knife attack in East London

A MAN in his 20s has been stabbed to death in a double stabbing in east London tonight.

Cops said he died at the scene after officers were called to a fight in Walthamstow just after 7.15pm.

A second man in his 20s was rushed to hospital with stab wounds as the capital's bloodbath surges on.

Detectives have arrested a male after the third fatal stabbing in London in five days.

A police spokesman said: "One of the men – believed to be aged in his 20s, although originally thought to be in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers are in the process of informing his next of kin. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

"A second man – in his 20s – was taken to hospital. His condition is now not thought to be life threatening."

Police enquiries are continuing.

Last month, the number of murders in 2019 topped last year's shocking toll of 132.

On Saturday, Viorel Stefan, 49, was stabbed to death and a woman injured in a knife attack in East London.

Vasile Firanda, 59, was charged with murder after the bloodbath in Dagenham.

Hours later, Dmytro Balaban, 28, was fatally knifed in Neasden.

Volodymyr Hololvatskyi, 23, was charged with murder.
