A large street fight in Hull has led to a man being taken to hospital for head injuries.
Witnesses say there was a number of people involved in a fight in Spring Bank West on Friday evening close to the junction with Lomond Road.
A man has since been arrested and charged with assault by beating following the incident.
One witness said: "Theres were police vans and lots of people and police outside Hastings pub and near Boots the chemist.
"There was a police van and about three police cars and I was told there had been a large fight."
Humberside Police confirmed they were called to the disturbance.
A spokeswoman said: "Officers responded to reports of a fight at an establishment on Spring Bank West, Hull, at approximately 7.30pm on Friday in which a man had suffered cuts to his head.
"Callum Dyce, 20, of Calvert Road, Hull has been charged with assault by beating and bailed with conditions, to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 30.
"The victim was taken to hospital following the altercation where he was treated for his injuries."
