A man is in hospital after he was struck by a taxi during a hit-and-run.
Police were called to reports of a collision on Upper Brook Street in the early hours of Friday morning (December 20).
The victim was taken to hospital following the incident.
A police spokesman said his injuries are not believe to be life-threatening.
The taxi failed to the stop at the scene.
Upper Brook Street, at the junction with Grosvenor Street and Booth Street East, was sealed off with police tape from 3.30am this morning.
Police officers could be seen standing guard outside the cordon.
The road has since re-opened.
There are no reports of any arrests and Greater Manchester Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
