A roundabout is sealed off by police after a man was hit by a car this morning.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on Bridge Road, near to Princess Way in Seaforth.
They were called at around 7.55am to reports of a crash between a man and a black BMW.

Merseyside Police said the man was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury.
The driver remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
The roundabout of Princess Way and Church Road is currently closed whilst emergency services respond to the incident.
People are being asked to avoid the area where possible and find an alternative route.
Traffic was pictured queuing down Princess Way this morning as drivers were told to reverse back as they were diverted away from the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "At around 7.55am today (Monday 29 November) officers were called to a report of a collision on Bridge Road in Litherland involving a man and a black BMW.
"The man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
"The driver remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
"The roundabout junction of Princess Way is currently closed whilst emergency services remain at the scene."
