A man has been charged after a crash outside a Bransholme school.
Parents were dropping their children off at Dorchester Primary School on Wednesday morning when a car hit a parked vehicle just yards away from the entrance.
Following the collision, Humberside Police have confirmed Christopher Preston, 29, of Edison Grove, near Southcoates Lane, was charged with driving without insurance or a license.
The driver, who was alone in the black Vauxhall Meriva, was taken to hospital for treatment and the road remained closed for the morning to allow investigation work to take place.
The police had been called by ambulance crews who were first on the scene.
Confirming the update, a spokeswoman for the Humberside force said: "Following a collision on Dorchester Road in Hull yesterday morning, which left a man needing hospital treatment, a man has been charged.
"Christopher Preston, 29, of Edison Grove was charged with driving without insurance or a license and is due to appear in Hull Magistrates Court today, Thursday 26 November."
