A MAN aged 45 is to stand trial accused of intimidating a woman by threatening to disclose personal videos and pictures if charges against him weren’t dropped.

Karl O’Neill, of Birch Grove, Keighley, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to Manchester Crown Court on March 16.

O’Neill is charged with contacting a woman and following her in Keighley town centre in breach of a restraining order imposed by Bradford magistrates in June 2018.

He is further accused of making a phone call on February 4 at Bradford to a witness in proceedings for an offence and threatening to disclose personal videos and pictures if the charges were not dropped, which intimidated and was intended to intimidate.

O’Neill is charged with assaulting the woman by beating her in Keighley on January 17, leaving phone voice messages in breach of the restraining order, attending the woman’s address in breach of the order on January 17, and making telephone calls to her.

He is also accused of causing a computer to perform a function with intent to secure unauthorised access to a program or data held in a computer or to enable any such access to be so secured.

An eighth charge states that O’Neill damaged jumpers to the value of £100 belonging to the woman, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
