In a statement North Wales Police said: "We would ask the public not to speculate about this incident on social media as this is an active investigation."
Police officers, along with three rapid response vehicles, two emergency ambulances and the air ambulance were called to the holiday park on Saturday afternoon.
The A548, which runs alongside the holiday park in Towyn, was temporarily closed to allow the air ambulance to land, sparking long delays on surrounding roads.
The force issued a statement at the time which said: "There is no threat to the public but please stay away from the area whilst we deal with the incident. Thank you for your patience."
North Wales Police later confirmed the death of the 15-year-old girl and said a 19-year-old male had been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Although police say the incident was isolated, patrols have since been stepped up in the area to reassure members of the public and holidaymakers.
A caravan at the holiday park, run by Parkdean resorts, remains cordoned off with police tape and officers seen on foot patrol in the vicinity.
A spokesman for Parkdean said they were "shocked and saddened by this tragic incident".
A statement said: “Ty Mawr is a 100-acre family park which welcomes tens of thousands of happy holidaysmakers every year. This was an isolated and unprecedented incident.
“Our team are assisting police with their enquiries and as it is a police matter we can’t comment further at the moment.”
