Madeleine McCann latest news: Suspect linked to missing German girl and boy

MADELEINE McCann cops have linked her suspected snatcher "Christian B" to the disappearance of a boy, 6, in 1996 and a girl, 5, in 2015.

"Christian B", 43, is believed to have been investigated over the disappearance of a German girl, according to media reports.

A number of reports say the prime suspect had been investigated over the disappearance of a five-year-old girl - named only as Inga.

She went missing from a family party in Saxony-Anhalt on May 2, 2015, and has never been found.

Police have refused to confirm the investigation.

German cops investigating the convicted peado, 43, have also contacted the family of René Hasee to say they were looking into his 1996 abduction again.

The schoolboy, from Elsdorf, Germany, vanished on June 21, 1996 while on holiday with his family in Aljezur - just 25miles from Praia da Luz, in the Algarve.

Detectives believe the suspect was regularly living in the Algarve from 1995.

He was already convicted of sex offences against children and would have been 19 at the time René disappeared.

Police homed in on "Christian B" after he told a pal in a pub he snatched Madeleine.

The rapist is believed to have staked out the McCanns’ holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, for four days before the three-year-old was snatched in May 2007.

He is currently in prison for raping a 72-year-old woman in the Algarve resort in 2005.
