Love Island's Sophie Piper stayed in a separate hotel to her villa beau Connor Durman, despite her famous sister Rochelle Humes giving him the 'seal of approval'.

Sophie, 21, got booted out of the villa on Sunday night in a brutal double-dumping alongside Wallace, and had an awkward reunion with Connor on Aftersun.

Sitting alongside host Laura Whitmore , Sophie accidentally let slip that she'd met Connor in the corridor before the show went on air - meaning their soda meeting was actually their second reunion.

Laura desperately tried to smooth over the situation, telling her: "You saw him very briefly but we didn't let you see too much."

Connor and Sophie reunited on Aftersun - but it was made super-awkward by her corridor confession

Despite the awkwardness, both Sophie and Connor agreed they'd like to see more of each other outside the villa.

Asked if he was going to take Sophie on a date, Connor said: "I am. I need to get her number first.

"It'll be so weird with no cameras, no mics."

Despite his keenness, the pair went back to separate hotels after their Aftersun reunion.

Sophie didn't follow Connor out of the villa when he got dumped

But while the pair may be taking it slow, Sophie has already introduced her beau to her sisters Rochelle and Lili Piper.

"They had a brief meeting with Connor yesterday and they said he was lovely," she told the Sun .

"We're yet to have a first date," she added.

"Obviously we've both been so busy, but he's coming back down to London tomorrow so hopefully I'll see him again then."

She and Connor enjoyed their first date night with a cinema and shopping trip

The pair went for their first date last night, and were spotted at London's Westfield Stratford coming out of the cinema.

Connor was weighed down with shopping bags as Sophie, dressed to the nines in a glittering silver mini-dress and heels, walked a few steps behind him texting on her phone.

As they saw the cameras, the pair grabbed each others' hands and grinned - but immediately got back on their own phones once they were in the back of their private car.
