Love Island reunion show cancelled after Caroline Flack’s death as ITV start work on summer series

LOVE Island: The Reunion has been cancelled as ITV start work on the summer series following host Caroline Flack's death.

The Sun Online can reveal TV bosses have no plans to bring back the annual spin-off episode for its winter series stars.

Since 2017 it's given viewers the chance to watch feuding Islanders argue it out or reveal reasons behind their break-ups.

Caroline Flack hosted an explosive episode of the last reunion show in summer 2019.

It ended up with a bust-up between Anton Danyluk and Molly-Mae Hague after he unfollowed her on Instagram.

There was also an awkward reunion with winner Amber Gill and her ex Michael Griffiths.

EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide.

It doesn't discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society - from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.

It's the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.

And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.

Yet it's rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.

That is why The Sun launched the You're Not Alone campaign.

The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.

Let's all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others.

You're Not Alone.

The Reunion first aired in 2017 after the success of ITV2 show's third series.

Despite the spin-off show being a hit with viewers, the Love Island Christmas reunion show was cancelled last year.

The Sun Online revealed crew were too busy starting work on the new winter series.

Now they're preparing to return to Majorca for filming in June when Love Island goes back to its roots.

Bosses pulled Love Island off-air for two nights earlier this month following the shock death of host Caroline.

She had been forced to step down from presenting the winter series in South Africa after being charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Voiceover Iain Stirling gave an emotional tribute to Caroline when the show next aired.

He fought back the tears as he described the late star as a "true friend" and said he was going to miss her.

Iain's girlfriend - who took over Caroline's job this series - dedicated the finale in her memory.

The Love Island family were left devastated by the news Caroline had taken her own lift on February 15.

It came just hours after she found out the CPS were pursing the assault case against her, despite Lewis dropping the charges. Caroline denied any wrongdoing.
