LOVE Island fans spotted that Hugo had a "secret haircut" ahead of his feud with Toby in last night's re-coupling.
Viewers speculated whether it was the teacher's transformation that gave him the courage to lash out at the semi-pro footballer in his speech as he saved Chloe.
Hugo's hair had been getting noticeably longer in recent episodes, with the Islander experimenting with new styles as he tried to get used to the locks.
Earlier this week, he tested out '90s-style curtains, even adding a pair of plastic-rimmed glasses as an accessory.
But when it came to the ceremony by the firepit, Hugo's floppy locks were long gone.
Instead, fans picked up on his much shorter, and incredibly slick, 'do with shaven and faded sides.
Hugo had one haircut and no more Mr. Nice Guy.
Taking to Twitter, those watching at home speculated how he got the new look - questioning whether he'd been allowed to see a hairdresser.
One confused viewer asked: "Are they given a hairdresser? I'm sure Hugo's had a hair cut and some skin fades are way too fresh for 4 weeks in!!!"
Another added: "Hugo’s had a haircut ?! Do they do that in the villa ??"
A third joked: "Hugo got this new hair cut and a side of attitude to go with it."
One more echoed: "Hugo had one haircut and no more mr nice guy."

It has previously been revealed that Islanders do get a helping hand in staying glam while in the villa, with the girls' getting their nails done and waxes on Saturdays - the day a new episode of the show doesn't air.
Which means it is perfectly likely that Hugo did see a hairdresser, although it would have been a mid-week revamp instead of the usual weekend arrangement.
His recent actions in the Love Island villa have divided viewers, and his fellow Islanders - with the hunk sparking shockwaves when he slammed Toby.
Hugo jumped to Chloe's defence after her ex snubbed her for new bombshell Abigail - and it has triggered speculation that he has a secret crush on the marketing exec.
