London storm submerges streets as video captures Victoria Station flooding

Following a storm that hit parts of England today, torrential rains have flooded parts of London and rain appears to be accumulating at Victoria Station.

After heavy rain showers on Wednesday afternoon, Kentish Town station was also flooded and the streets around King's Cross washed away after heavy rain showers. Rainfollowed byshows changes from the recent heat wave.

The deluge follows a heat wave of 30 degrees in Scotland and 36 degrees in the south. The Met Office has issued rain warnings for most parts of England, with some upgraded to yellow.

After several weeks of dry conditions, the Mirror reported that severe flooding caused flooding in some areas and threatened power outages.

No weather warnings have been issued for Scotland, but 11 regions in the East, South East and London have been notified by theMeteorological Officebetween 11am and 10pm today. Heavy rains and storms are expected in , with a drop of up to 2 inches predicted.

Meteorological Service issued rain warnings for most parts of England

The Japan Meteorological Agency warned: “Severe showers and thunderstorms are expected today, causing flooding and disruption. Over 100 mm of rain is possible in a few hours in areas with slow rainfall.Lightning and hail are additional hazards.The showers and storms will slowly subside this evening."

Yellow Among the areas affected by the alert is London, where residents and commuters have been warned of the potential for disruption due to the situation.

"But Wales There are several clusters of thunderstorms progressing very slowly across most of the thunderstorms into Lincolnshire, home to central and southern England, and across East Anglia.
