Victory over Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season saw Liverpool secure third and Champions League football for next season.

At one stage, that appeared extremely unlikely for the Reds, but a fine sequence of results, accompanied by Leicester City's downturn in form, saw the tide change.

Now, just over two months on from the Reds' final game of the season, they are being linked with plenty of stars now that the summer window has arrived, with Jurgen Klopp having already added Ibrahima Konate to his ranks.

But who else can we expect to see at Anfield? We take a look at the latest gossip from around the globe and rate how likely they are to happen.

Who?

Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio.

Where?

Spanish publication Todo Fichajes via Caughtoffside.

What?

The Reds, according to the report, are 'in the mix' for the signing of Asensio, but face competition from Tottenham and Arsenal.

It is believed that a bid of around £34m could secure the Spaniard's services.

A ruptured cruciate ligament in 2020 had a big impact on the progression of Asensio, with the midfielder not quite able to hit the standards he had previously reached. However, at just 25-years-old, he still has time to get back to the levels he has been at before.

The mentioned report does suggest that Arsenal have shown the greatest interest of the three clubs, but Liverpool are, according to the report, seemingly monitoring the situation closely.

Who?

Bayern Munich trio Kingsley Coman, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka.

Where?

German journalist Florian Plettenburg.

What?

According to the report, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are said to be “aware” of the current contract stance of the trio and are monitoring their situation.

Plettenburg claims that Liverpool will 'know' that Kimmich, Goretzka and Coman are having issues agreeing new contracts with the German outfit.

Considering this, there is a possibility that the Reds could make a move for one or more of them should they fail to agree contract extensions.

Goretzka is now in the final year of his deal and is yet to extend at the Allianz Arena, whereas Kimmich and Coman both have two years left to run on their current deals.

Who?

Lille defender Sven Botman.

Where?

French publication L'Equipe via the Daily Mail.

What?

According to the report, Manchester City are keeping tabs on Botman after the centre back attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Botman was a regular for Lille last season and played a key role in helping them beat Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title, with the club keeping an impressive 21 clean sheets.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs this summer including Liverpool, Manchester United, West Ham and Newcastle.

However, the report claims that Pep Guardiola's side are also monitoring the Dutchman after being alerted to his availability this summer.
