A Liverpool pub has been named among the best beer gardens in England.

Big 7 Travel has revealed its top 25 beer gardens in the country, ranking them based on editorial opinions and experiences.

Now that Liverpool’s bars and restaurants are able to operate outdoors for the foreseeable future after lockdown restrictions eased this week, there’s no doubt many will be looking forward to visiting their favourite beer gardens.

Liverpool’s Pump House at the Royal Albert Dock was named in the big list - and it even cracked the top 10.

The Pump House came in at number nine, and was praised for its craft beers and real ales.

About the beer garden, Big 7 said: “For dock-side beers, head to the Pump House. The Grade II listed former pump house is now home to one of Liverpool’s most popular pubs, with craft beers and real ales on tap, craft cocktails and an impressive wine list.

“There’s plenty of space in the garden, which sprawls around the building so, while booking is advised, there are spots reserved for walk-ins.”

The Pump House’s beer garden is open from 12pm - 10pm Monday to Wednesday, and from 12pm - 11pm Thursday to Sunday.
