Reported Liverpool target Darwin Nunez was on the scoresheet for Benfica in their 7-0 win over Belenenses on Saturday.
However, the clash was abandoned minutes into the second-half after an injury took the home side under the minimum number of players required on the field.
They were forced to start the game with nine men due to a COVID outbreak and came out for the second-half with just seven, before injury struck goalkeeper Joao Monteiro, who was playing outfield, and reduced them to six men.
Nunez was able to score a hat-trick for Benfica in the first-half of the game, proving why a number of clubs across Europe are reportedly eyeing moves for the forward.
The Daily Star reported last month that Liverpool are among the clubs rumoured to be interested in signing the £70m rated player.
However, they face stiff competition from Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Real Madrid are preparing a 'plan b' should they not land Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain next summer, according to recent reports from Spain.
Outlet El Nacional claims club president Florentino Perez views the Egyptian as a 'cheaper alternative' to Mbappe in the event he chooses to stay in Paris.
The report goes on to say everything will depend on the 22-year-old's decision and whether he joins the La Liga club on a free transfer next summer.
As Salah's contract situation at Liverpool remains unresolved, rumours linking him with a move elsewhere are no surprise.
However, Perez's desire to sign the 29-year-old if they fail to land Mbappe will be made increasingly more difficult if Salah too signs a new contract with his current club.

Liverpool 'remain interested' in midfielder Renato Sanches, according to the latest update from journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to England in the summer, but a move failed to materialise after a knee injury brought an end to such rumours.
Romano told the latest Here We Go podcast : "“He’s never been close to joining Liverpool this summer but he’s always on their list.
“It’s a different thing. Liverpool never opened talks with Lille. There’s nothing advanced.
"There is a lot of interest and I expect him to leave Lille.”
Premier League rivals Arsenal are also reportedly interested in Sanches.
