A murderer will today be sentenced for killing a popular pensioner.

Kyle Bowen had initially denied the murder of David Williams, 73, but changed his plea when he appeared in court last Friday.

The body of Mr Williams – known to friends as Dai Doberman for his love of the dog breed – was found outside a property in Danygraig Lane in the Pontwalby area of Glynneath on January 27 this year.

A post-mortem examination showed he had suffered blunt force injuries to the head and body.

Bowen, of Mill Terrace, Glynneath, will be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court this afternoon and you can keep up to date with everything that happens in court with our updates below.
