Hello and welcome along to tonight's coverage of the academy Hull derby as Hull FC under-19s take on Hull KR.

While this meeting isn't strictly competitive since there's no academy league this season, tonight's clash is the first regular season derby since the City of Hull Academy split in 2019.

With Covid having a huge impact on the academy season, the two teams will be happy just to get out on the field. However, there's always bad blood when it comes to a derby and both will be desperate to get one over their bitter cross-city rivals.

Ben McNamara and Aidan Burrell are expected to be involved for the Black and Whites this evening after dropping down from the first-team, while KR will be keen to get back to winning ways after their loss to Wigan Warriors last week.

We'll be live from the University of Hull to bring you all the action.

Good evening

We're braving the weather conditions to bring you live updates of the first Hull derby of the academy season from the University of Hull.

Neither Hull FC nor KR come into this clash on the back of a win, with losses coming against London Broncos and Wigan Warriors respectively last week.

However, they'll be desperate to get one over their cross-city rivals tonight.

FC have named their squad and Ben McNamara and Aidan Burrell will drop down from the first-team to be involved, while we're still waiting to hear Rovers' squad news.
