There are severe traffic delays in Hull due to a four car pile-up on the A63.
Drivers travelling out of Hull along the Clive Sullivan Way are facing severely long delays tonight due to an accident involving four vehicles near St Andrew’s Quay.
Traffic management system Inrix says: “A63 Clive Sullivan Way westbound partially blocked, queuing traffic due to accident, four vehicles involved before A1166 Brighton Street (St Andrews Quay).
Some drivers say they have been stuck in long queues for over 40 minutes. One driver posted on Hull Live’s Traffic and Travel Facebook page saying: “So far, 42 minutes to travel 1.3 miles.”
Another driver posted: “A63 heading out of Hull four car pile-up in the outside lane opposite Arco. One has been spun around and facing the barrier. Very slow traffic.”

Heavy traffic on A63
The accident is causing traffic to build up along the A63 with queues building up from St Andrew’s Quay towards the Mytongate roundabout, according to Inrix.
One driver posted on Hull Live’s Traffic and Travel page saying: “So far 42 minutes to travel 1.3 miles.”
One lane closed
One lane has been closed following an accident involving four vehicles on A63 Clive Sullivan Way.
Traffic management system Inrix says: “One lane closed and queuing traffic due to accident, four vehicles involved on A63 Clive Sullivan Way Westbound before Brighton Street (St Andrew’s Quay).
“Affecting traffic out of Hull. A lane two (of two) closure has been implemented”.
