Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is currently fighting a fire in Southport.
Crews are at Blowick Moss Lane tackling a blaze that started at around 9am.
It is understood that three houses that are under construction have caught fire.
A fire service spokesperson has said: "This is a fire involving an external gas main that has spread to three houses under construction."

Smoke 'pouring' out
A resident told an ECHO reporter at the scene that smoke was 'pouring' out of one of the houses before emergency services arrived.

Residents urged to keep windows and doors closed
ECHO reporter Ben Haslam is at the scene.
He said that residents on the housing estate and the surrounding area are being told to keep their windows and doors closed.
All emergency services remain at the fire.

Two people hurt
It has been confirmed that North West Ambulance Service are also at the scene.
Paramedics are treating two people with minor injuries.
This is an ongoing incident and there will be more updates to follow.
Fire is believed to have started at external gas main
the fire is reported to have involved a gas main that spread to three homes under construction.
A Merseyside fire and rescue spokesperson has said: "Utilities company is in attendance and tactical plan has been established - isolate gas main and cap gas from a safe location.
"Following confirmation of gas isolation, crews will commence firefighting activities in breathing apparatus."

Fire is spreading
The fire is believed to be in the cavity involving all floors of one of the houses.
It has also spread to the roof space of the three storey town house.

Buildings have caught fire in Southport
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene as a fire that started at a gas main has spread to three houses.
Four crews are in attendance.
A spokesperson said: "Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is currently in attendance at a building fire on Blowick Moss Lane, Southport.
"Crews were alerted at 09.01am on Tuesday 28th September and on scene at 09.08am. Four fire engines are in attendance as well as the combined platform ladder appliance.
"This is a fire involving an external gas main that has spread to three houses under construction. House 1 is a three storey town house approx. 10m x10m.
"Fire is believed to be in the cavity involving all floors.
"Properties 2 and 3 are two storey houses both approx. 10m x 10m."
