A lorry has crashed through the barrier on the M4 on what is expected to be the busiest day on the roads in Wales.
One lane is blocked on the M4 through Swansea after the crash.
Traffic monitors say the lorry was travelling westbound, crashed through the barrier and is now on the eastbound side at junction 45.
With the Christmas getaway starting the M4 across south Wales is expected to be the country's busiest road.
It comes as a yellow weather warning is in place for rain with forecasters warning of likely flooding and travel disruption.
The Met Office say delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible and spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

Traffic diverted for recovery
Traffic is currently being diverted while the recovery of the lorry is taking place.
Drivers are being diverted on and off via the slipways.
Congestion remains in the area after the earlier crash at around 4.40pm.

Traffic monitors are reporting that the main carriageway on the westbound side is now closed. The road is closed between the slip road to allow the recovery.
Traffic beginning to ease
Traffic is beginning to ease after the earlier crash.
Delays remain near junction 45 with congestion to junction 42 on the westbound side.
Travel time on the westbound carriageway is now 35 minutes and 15 minutes on the eastbound side.
Crash causing traffic on A48
The crash on the M4 is now causing delays on the A48.
Traffic monitors sau the A48 is struggling as people divert away from the crash at junction 45.
What drivers can expect from the weather
The Met Office has issued a three-day weather warning for rain for most of Wales as it warns flooding and travel disruptions are likely.
A yellow weather warning for rain on Wednesday was issued on December 17 but has since been extended to cover more of Wales and is also now in force for Thursday and Friday.
According to the Met Office, heavy rain starting on Wednesday afternoon is likely to lead to flooding and travel disruption in places. A previous warning for wind is also in place for Wednesday and Thursday.
Further delays on M4 through Newport
There is further slow traffic on the M4 in Newport due to a broken down lorry.
Lane two of two was blocked but is now clear. There are still delays on the M4 near junction 24.
The lorry is now on the hard shoulder.
Travel time almost an hour
Traffic monitors say travel time in the area is around 50 minutes.
Delays are on both sides of the M4 near junction 45 after a lorry crashed through the central reservation.
Congestion is to junction 47 on the westbound side and to junction 46 on the eastbound side.
M4 partially shut after crash
Two lanes are now closed on the M4 after the lorry crash at junction 45.
Traffic monitors say one lane is closed on both the eastbound and westbound side after the earlier crash.

Traffic monitors are reporting heavy traffic for miles along the M4 following the crash at junction 45.
Police ask drivers to avoid the area
South Wales Police have warned drivers to avoid the area.
In a statement on Facebook they said:
We are at the scene of a collision on the M4 near Swansea.
The incident occurred near junction 45 for Ynysforgan, and lane closures are in place on the motorway between junctions 44 (Llansamlet) and 46 (Llangyfelach) westbound, and 46 and 45 (Ynysforgan) eastbound.
We are expecting significant delays in both directions and would ask that you avoid the area if possible. We appreciate your patience
Ambulance crews called lorry crash
The Welsh Ambulance Service have been called to the crash involving a lorry on the M4.
A spokesman said they were called at 4.41pm but crews have not yet arrived at the scene.
Cars crawling along M4 after crash
Traffic monitors are reporting that cars are crawling along the M4 with an average speed of 15mph after the crash at junction 45.
There are delays of nine minutes between junction 44 and 46 westbound.
