A crash on the A38 in Burton is causing major tailbacks this afternoon.
According to traffic updates system Inrix, an accident has happened on the A38 between Branston Interchange and the Clay Mills junction.
The stretch is the busiest in the Burton area and sees thousands of cars pass through every day.
Inrix says the crash happened on the northbound carriageway, heading towards Derby, just before 2pm.
The road is said to be partially blocked, with Inrix stating that all traffic is being "held".

A witness has reported both lanes are closed on the northbound carriageway.
Length of expected delays revealed
According to radio reports, the accident is expected to clear between 3pm and 3.15pm, with normal traffic conditions expected to return to normal then. A lane closure is also reported.
