Boris Johnson is holding a coronavirus press conference from Downing Street this afternoon.
The Prime Minister is expected to give an update on the number of people who have been vaccinated in the UK, and the number of vaccination centres now up and running.
Six community pharmacies began administering the vaccine earlier this week and the government has said hundreds more will follow.
Mr Johnson says the government aims to have offered a vaccine to every person in the top four priority groups by the middle of February.
The Prime Minister is likely to be quizzed about a new variant of coronavirus discovered in South America that prompted the government to introduce strict travel bans on 16 countries including Brazil and Portugal.
Oppositions MPs have criticised ministers for not acting sooner.
At today's briefing, Mr Johnson will be joined by England’s chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty and the government's chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance.

The UK has recorded 1,280 further deaths and more than 55,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The Department of Health said a further 1,280 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of today.
