Lisa Armstrong recently grabbed headlines after she publicly slammed ex-husband Ant McPartlin's management team.

The make-up artist penned a scathing comment following Ant and TV co-host Declan Donnelly picking up the Best Presenter award at the National Television Awards this month.

Proving that the former spouse of Ant still holds resentment towards her ex's team, she lashed out after Ant and Dec's PR guru Simon Jones paid tribute to the stars on Instagram.

And now, an insider close to Lisa has revealed that her pals have warned her to "keep a dignified silence" following her divorce - which reportedly saw her walk away with £31million.

The source says that despite her friends supporting her they "don’t want her to dwell on the past" even though she was "hurt" by the split.

Lisa Armstrong's friends have told her to 'keep a dignified silence' following her divorce from Ant McPartlin, an insider has told (

"Lisa feels she has every right to stand up for herself and friends agree – but they think the public nature of it isn’t doing her any favours," a source told New! magazine.

"They’ve warned her it could make her look bad and it’s better to keep a dignified silence. They don’t want her to dwell on the past."

The insider added: "Lisa still feels she was betrayed by Ant and the people who worked with him. It was a really hard time for her and despite moving on, she still hasn’t forgotten.

Lisa and Ant were married for 12 years before splitting in 2018 (

"She felt she was a huge part of Ant’s success. They were together for so long and she was his rock through so much. She supported him and feels she helped him get to where he is now. When they broke up, Lisa felt she was cast aside by a lot of people – and that hurt."

Earlier this month, Lisa was unable to hold back after Simon uploaded a snap of Ant and Dec to celebrate their latest telly award.

"20 years! So so proud of my amazing friends Ant and Dec for winning Best TV Presenter at the NTA’s for the 20th year in a row! And proud to say I have been with them at the awards every year of those 20 wins. We’ve been on a brilliant journey so far and long may it continue," he penned.

Taking a savage swipe at her ex-husband's PR team, Lisa penned below: "And you don’t care who you screw over in the process. Well done."

PR professional Simon was having none of what Lisa had to say and he furiously hit back at her, telling her to ‘move on’ with her life and stop blaming other people for her mistakes.
