Viewers of the BBC One show have been desperately trying to work out what happens next, and now Adrian Dunbar, who plays Ted Hastings on the show, has claimed some fans already know thanks to a "big clue" which has already aired.
Adrian was appearing on Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid and Adil Ray to discuss writer Jed Mercurio's epic cliffhanger, and teased some hints.
"So we don't know yet what happens to Kate?" Susanna asked the actor.
Responding, Adrian said: "I know, and a lot of Line of Duty fans know."
Adil then asked Adrian if he meant some some fans had worked it out, to which Adrian nodded and teased: "A lot of Line of Duty fans know what's going on, all will be revealed in the fullness of time."
Pressing again, Adil asked: "Are you saying there's been a big clue so far that people haven't caught onto?"
"Yes, there's been a very big clue, this is the scoop," Adrian said.
Adding: "As the first guest back on this show I am giving you a massive scoop.
"There is a clue out there as to what happens next, and the Line of Duty fans know."
