Singer Lily Allen has revealed that she didn't have orgasms until she discovered sex toys.

The LDN star, 35, has been speaking frankly about her sex life in recent days.

Speaking to Dazed Digital, Lily discussed her relationship with orgasms and how sex toys made such an impact on her pleasure.

She said of having orgasms: "It wasn't until my mid-twenties. I wasn't very committed to self-love in that part of my life.

"Like, I’d never reached climax with a partner, probably because I was so drunk when sleeping with people that I became desensitised to feeling something.

"When it came to masturbation, I wasn't persistent enough, I just gave up. I felt weird trying to give myself pleasure, it didn't feel like something that felt natural to me.

"Then I discovered sex toys and it broke the barrier of intimacy with myself."

Sex toys changed Lily's relationship with sex, but she notes that it affected how she felt towards partners as she "felt like it was their responsibility to make me cum and they weren't doing it for me."

Lily has now launched her own sex toy product 'Liberty' with the Womanizer brand - and has fronted a campaign that hopes to reduce shame around masturbation.

In the campaign ad, she says: "Loving yourself should be the most normal thing in the world. We all deserve amazing orgasms, right? So let's be open about it.

"Free yourself, feel yourself, love yourself! I masturbate - do you?"

However, the Smile singer notes that she didn't want to just become another celebrity selling products of which she had no attachment.

When speaking to Dazed Digital, she added: "There’s so many opportunities that have come my way but truth and honesty is so central to what I do.

"What I’m seeing with this product is that people are really connecting to it.

"I feel pleased with myself that I stuck to my guns and haven’t been flogging s**t for the last ten years."
