The Irish TV host, 34, appeared to be making the most of her festive break before she prepares to fly to Cape Town to take over Caroline Flack 's role as the presenter of hit ITV2 dating show Love Island at the beginning of January.
The blonde bombshell has been braving the cold and enjoying the weekend in the Scottish capital as she took to Instagram on Saturday to share a glimpse of her unhealthy dinner choice.
The star shared a snap of chips with thick curry sauce to her Instagram stories alongside the caption: "pre Love Island diet is going well."
Laura hilariously mocked her highly calorific snack as she referred to the fact that she'll be jetsetting to Cape Town within the next few weeks and joining a bunch of sexy singles in scantily-clad swimwear.
Laura is set to fly out to South Africa in the coming weeks to host the new series of Winter Love Island.

While Laura hilariously replied to one fan who moaned about the fact that the star has been dominating headlines this week after the ITV2 announcement following Caroline's shocking step-down from the role.
The user complained online, writing: "If I see another f*****g photo of Laura Whitmore I'll throw up."
The former MTV presenter hilariously replied to the Tweet with a funny selfie of herself pulling a face and the sarcastic message: "Someone get Andrew a sick bucket".
Laura's new job on Love Island comes after Caroline, 40, was arrested and charged with assault by beating after an alleged bust-up with her beau Lewis Burton, 27, last week.
Caroline, who was due to present the sixth series of the ITV2 show in January, decided to step down but said she is 'absolutely devastated' by the decision.
The presenter is now set to appear before magistrates just two days before Christmas, on December 23.
Laura confirmed the news that she is the replacement last week she posted a heartfelt announcement.
She called Caroline 'a brilliant host and also a friend' as she admitted that she wished the job role came under "better circumstances."
The stunning TV host admitted that she's been speaking to Caroline a lot since she stepped down as she revealed the former presenter "strongly pushed me for the role."
