Latest area by area Covid-19 vaccination rates in Bradford

HERE is the latest breakdown of the Covid-19 vaccination rates across the Bradford district.

Up to April 11, 49.6 per cent of all adults in Bradford had received the Covid-19 vaccine, and for over 50s the rate was 86.4 per cent.

This figure is 2.5 per cent below the national average and also the lowest rate in the over 50s - who are the most at risk of death or serious illness from Covid-19 - in West Yorkshire.

In the total population it is also way below the national figure where more than 60 per cent of adults have had the jab, with 32.7 million people having had their first jab, and 9.4 million now having received both doses and full protection.

While Bradford trails behind the national average for vaccination, some areas in the district are doing far better than other areas in the roll out.

Addingham & Ilkley Moor has the highest percentage of its over 50s vaccinated with 95.5 per cent, followed by Menston & Burley Moor on 95.3 per cent. In total, 29 of the district's 61 areas have a vaccination rate in the over 50s higher than the national average.

At the other end of the scale are Shearbridge & University (64.5 per cent), Holme Top (64.9 per cent), Central Bradford & Barkerend West (66.1 per cent), and Girlington (66.5 per cent), all of which still have more than third of over 50s - the most at risk - unprotected from Covid-19.

In these areas, along with Barkerend East and Brown Royd, less than 30 per cent of all adults have had the jab, however this could be down to the young populations of these areas. Hopefully as more young people can get the jab this figure will quickly rise.

For each area below, the figures are broken down by total number of over 50s vaccinated (and percentage of over 50s population), and total number of adults vaccinated (and the percentage of all adults).
