Took the opportunity to head into town to see friends & pick up a few bits now non-essential retail @GoldenSquareUK is back. Even the Primark queue v quick & good social distancing being observed! :)"
One person said: "Another Labour MP demonstrates what this party stands for... gutter politics."
A second reader added: "Labour carries on digging its own grave but hasn't learned if you are in a hole, stop digging."

Someone else fumed: "Just when you think Labour has sunk to its lowest, another ill-educated Labour MP commits another corker."
A fourth person simply said: "Just shows why Labour can't get elected."
While a fifth added: "Even an MPs salary can't buy class."
Others called for Ms Nicols to "get another job" and resign from her position as MP for Warrington.

The Express.co.uk reader wrote: "Would that be shopping on the money from your large salary and expenses which the taxpayer, including a large number of Royalists, have to pay?
"You are in Parliament at our expense and taken an oath of allegiance to the Crown.
"Do us and your Warrington constituents a favour and get another job where you can go shopping at your own expense."
Another echoed the sentiment and said: "Depressing that someone given the honour to represent their fellow citizens in Parliament should display such immaturity, lack of judgement and lack of respect."

Someone else accused her of trying to be "clever with these remarks" and said she is "playing to an imaginary audience".
Another simply called accused her of having "all the qualities of a dead slug".
One Express.co.uk reader commented: "And Labour wonders why they're not getting voters.
