Celtic face an injury sweat over Kristoffer Ajer after the centre back limped out of their clash with Lille.

The Norwegian was replaced by the returning Nir Bitton 10 minutes into the second half but it will be a major worry for Neil Lennon if he is missing for Sunday's game against Aberdeen.

The Scottish Cup semi-final is of huge significance and missing Ajer against the Dons would make it considerably harder.

Celtic looked better against Lille, with two fine first-half goals stunning the Ligue 1 leaders. Lennon, though, will be hoping Ajer can shake off his issue for Sunday's game.

Ajer has played 15 times for Celtic this season and the 22-year-old has been the most regular figure at the heart of the Hoops defence, partnering both Shane Duffy and Christopher Jullien over the course of the campaign.

The Hoops have had plenty of injury issues in defence with Jullien missing a large chunk of the campaign so far, while Bitton missed recent weeks after testing positive for Covid-19.

Youngster Stephen Welsh is also on the bench after making appearances against Rangers and AC Milan.
