Traditional birthday parties might be off the cards amid the pandemic, but that doesn't mean there aren't other ways to celebrate.

With social distancing in place, many of the usual party venues are closed and children unable to get close in big groups.

But many businesses have adapted for the current climate to come up with new ways to celebrate, while others have been created during the pandemic.

Jim Jam Wigwams and Balloons

Kids love nothing more than a sleepover and Jim Jam Wigwams has launched a new experience that would make an ideal birthday treat.

Bell tents are available for glamping and movie night experiences in your own garden.

The Worsley-based company has it all covered - they deliver it to your home, set it all up and leave you to it to have all the fun.

All you need is wi-fi in your garden to get the films playing on the projector screen, which can be set up inside the tent, or outside if it's dark enough.

And if indoor camping is more your thing, then they do teepee tents as well, again with themes including Fortnite, Unicorns and Dreams, Football Frenzy, Harry Potter, Barbie and more.

If you want to make the occasion even more special, they do balloons too, and they also team up with The Worsley Bakehouse, The Candy Man Salford and LollyPoppin to order some sweet treats such as brownies, cinema night binge boxes and bespoke luxury lollypops.

The glamping and outdoor movie package costs £275, but is on offer for £199 if booked in July. The indoor teepees are from £70 for two. Luxury movie night and picnic packages are also available.
