Khabib Nurmagomedov RULES OUT ‘boring’ Conor McGregor rematch ahead of UFC 254 clash with Justin Gaethje

'THEY DON'T DESERVE'

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV has ruled out a rematch against Conor McGregor as it doesn't excite him.

The Russian takes on Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 tonight but doesn't fancy facing the Notorious or Dustin Poirier again if he wins.

Khabib will go 29 fights unbeaten if he beats his American opponent on Fight Island later and he is not interested in facing any of his old foes in his potential bid for 30-0.

Speaking ahead of the Gaethje bout, the 32-year-old said: "I don’t think I’m going to give these guys a rematch or something like this.

“They don’t deserve this.

"I fight with them both, I finish both of them, and these fights don’t give me good energy.

"For example, vs Justin Gaethje, it’s like I can’t wait.

"This fight makes me excited, but Dustin or Conor, these guys don’t make me excited because I already beat them.

"Why I have to fight with them?”

Khabib beat McGregor via submission in October 2018 before overcoming Poirier in the same fashion less than a year later the following September.

In the build up to tonight's battle, Khabib's coach Javier Mendez said his man 'destroyed everyone' in the gym.

The Russian also reveled he wants to head to England after the fight to watch Manchester United and Liverpool.

Earlier today, SunSport exclusively revealed Tony Ferguson is a potential opponent for Khabib if he decides to fight again.
