Keep your Christmas gifts under a fiver like Stacey Solomon with our top tips

LET’S ear it for canny singer and Loose Women regular Stacey Solomon.

She recently revealed on Instagram how she divides up packs of earrings for cheap gifts. So I’ve followed her lead and come up with other ways to keep your gifts under a fiver.

BUY SOME RINGERS: Stacey bought a £9.99 two-pack of Warren James earrings, RRP £29, to give her sisters a pair each. If you’ve got more people to buy for, I found a three-pack for £11, which works out at just £3.67 each.

SAVE: £14.33 on one full-price earring

TOY-TALLY CHEAP: Get an eight-pack of Monster Wheel trucks for £7.99 at B&M and split it between four stockings. That’s only £2 per child.
Home Bargains has loads of toys for under a fiver, including a £2.99 Disney Princess jigsaw, £3.99 Fortnite Battle Royale figures and a Peppa Pig colouring book for £4.99.

HOME IN: I’ll be heading to Primark for homeware prezzies. Mini diffusers are £1 and plenty of candles are under £5. Their £3 pink heart cushion is almost identical to H&M’s £9.99 version. And don’t forget Poundland. Its £1 vases look so much pricier that they’ve previously sold for up to £35 on eBay.

SAVE: £6.99 on a cushion

WHAT A BEAUTY: Savers has brilliant deals on big brands. Philip Kingsley’s No Scent No Colour shampoo is just £4.99, comparted to £19.50 at M&S. A Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick will cost you £4.98, compared to £6.99 at Boots.

SAVE: £14.51 on shampoo

DRINK TO THAT: Make a cheaper version of Tesco’s £10 Freixenet gift set, containing a 200ml bottle of Prosecco, a candle and a champagne flute. Get Tesco’s Plaza Centro Prosecco for £2.50, a 50p glass from Wilko and a £1 Yankee Candles dupe from B&M — and pop it all in a £1 Poundland gift box. For beer lovers, split Tesco’s two-pack of craft beer glasses, £4, and B&M’s £3.99 Birra Moretti four-pack between two. You’ll only spend £3.99 per set.

SAVE: £5 on a gift set
