An Uddingston takeaway has gone viral after its kebabs featured on a famous food lovers page.
The Food Review Club showcased The Original Mr Chef on their site, which turned out to be one of their best ever performing videos.
Matt Davies-Binge, known as ‘The Kebab King’, is seen tucking into an Egyptian kebab on Uddingston Main Street while providing a glowing review to Mr Chef.
Almost 200,000 people tuned in to the video which had over 1400 commenting on the delicious feast at the local curry joint.
Matt names the takeaway as “industry leaders” in the video as he devours his Egyptian kebab saying “People might think I’ve gone crackers but let me tell you this is quality gear, properly special – an Egyptian kebab.
“I don’t think I’ve had food like that for a long time. I’m proud to have come here.”
The review site rated The Original Mr Chef one of its highest ever scores at 9.6/10.
Original Mr Chef owner Wasim Arshad said: “We were honoured and surprised to have Matt from the famous Food Review Club come up from England to pay us a surprise visit. He’s given us one of his highest ever scores at 9.6 out of 10.
“My kebabs have went viral with the video done by Matt at the Food Review Club. Within an hour he said my video had already got to number one ever viewed video as he reckons it will never be beaten.”
The success of the video has saw people queued down the street every day since it was published, Wasim claimed. He added “People from all over Scotland are coming to try us including from Edinburgh, Dundee, Paisley, Shotts, Livingston to name a few. Unbelievable!”
