Katie Price 's ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson threatened to break a police officer's jaw in a row over paparazzi pictures, a court has heard.
The personal trainer, 30, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court in Chatham, Kent today to stand trial over an allegation stemming from a row with a cop over paparazzo pictures last year.
Boyson, who pleaded not guilty in a previous hearing in July, is accused of one count of using threatening, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence against a police officer during an altercation on October 11, 2018.
In court today, prosecutor Piers Restell said that at about 7am "members of the paparazzi" were at Boyson's home to take photographs of Price.
He said Boyson approached the two photographers and shouted at them, demanding they delete the photographs.
"Photographs were deleted. Memory cards were handed over to Mr Boyson so that he could delete the rest," he said.
The court heard that police were called by one of the photographers after Boyson became "aggressive and did not believe that the memory cards contained all the photographs they had taken".
Pc Blundell and a colleague attended the scene, after being called to the road for an unrelated reason.
Mr Restell said: "Pc Blundell exited the police vehicle and looked at the mapping app on his mobile phone. At that point he heard a male later identified as Mr Boyson shout "grab that phone off him".
"[He] saw Mr Boyson shouting at him for taking pictures."
Pc Blundell pulled out his warrant card but he said Boyson then threatened to hit him, the court was told.
Mr Restell continued: "He pulled out his pepper spray. Again he showed Mr Boyson his warrant card and Mr Boyson then proceeded to photograph his warrant card.
"He did this because he said that Pc Blundell was a "fake police officer"."
In an effort to calm Boyson down, Pc Blundell showed him his mobile phone's picture gallery to prove that no photographs had been taken, the court heard.
But Boyson then told him: "I am going to break your jaw" and stepped towards him, Mr Restell said in court.
More uniformed officers arrived and Boyson was arrested.
Kris was arrested under section four of the Public Order Act a day after his ex-partner was arrested by police on suspicion of drink-driving.
Price was cleared of drink-driving at her subsequent trial in February but found guilty of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle, fined £1,500 and banned from the roads for three months.
She and Boyson had been celebrating his 30th birthday at a bash the night before his arrest.
Kris' trial started a day after his ex Katie was declared bankrupt.
She now faces an uncertain future after struggling to get her finances in order.
Just hours after the bankruptcy was announced, it was reported that she's split from Kris once again.
