Katie Price hits back at trolls after saying her boyfriend Carl Woods ‘wouldn’t fancy her in a wheelchair’

The mum-of-five is currently recovering from a horrific accident on holiday in Turkey that saw her break both her feet and now has to rely on a wheelchair to get around.

But even Katie, a stalwart of the British showbiz industry, isn’t indestructible and still suffers from pangs of insecurity.

The former glamour model opened up recently about her fears that new boyfriend Carl Woods wouldn’t find her attractive now she’s in a wheelchair.

Katie also revealed that she was slammed for confessing her worries out loud by trolls.

The 42-year-old told new! magazine: “I’ve also had a lot of hate from people in wheelchairs because I said I felt like Carl wouldn’t fancy me in a wheelchair.

“I’m not saying people in wheelchairs shouldn’t be fancied, I’m saying I’m in a new relationship and he met me how I was before, so why would he fancy me like this?

“I’m allowed to be insecure. I feel like I’ve lost my independence a bit.”

Katie’s feet appear to be on the mend and will hopefully enable her to up and about before long – especially as she's said she’d like another stint on I’m A Celebrity… but has vowed to only return Down Under with her new man.

The mum of five, 42, was hotly tipped to star in the ITV series this year, which has relocated to Wales amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Bookies Coral placed the Pricey at 6-4 to star, despite her being in recovery for two broken feet suffered during a horror holiday mishap in Turkey.

"The I'm A Celeb camp is like Katie Price's second home as she has already had two spells on the show and may be set for her third appearance this year, if this latest move in the betting is anything to go by,“ said Coral's John Hill.

Yet Katie's spokesperson exclusively told The Sun Online the star will hold back on the I'm A Celebrity Bush Tucker Trials - for now.

She said: "I wouldn't place any bets on her appearing this year!"
