Kai Havertz ‘chooses Chelsea and wants to seal £90m transfer in summer with Leverkusen happy to have fee in instalments’

KAI HAVERTZ has made a decision to join Chelsea this summer, according to reports.

Frank Lampard's side have been joined by the likes of Manchester United, City, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race for his signature.

But Kicker claim the 21-year-old has decided his future lies at Stamford Bridge.

Havertz has now informed Bayer Leverkusen that he plans to leave this summer.

The German giants will demand a transfer of around £90million for him, according to Bild.

It is reported that they will accept the fee in instalments.

Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller has confirmed an agreement is in place for Havertz to leave.

He said: "We have an agreement - if it fits, he can go this summer."

Should he make the move to Chelsea, he will be a key part of Lampard's summer overhaul.

The Blues boss has already secured the signings of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

Havertz, 21, has proved his potential this season with 17 goals and nine assists.
