Eleven more coronavirus patients have died in the past 24 hours, the latest Public Health Scotland data shows.
The tragic news comes as health officials confirmed another 1,381 fresh cases overnight.
The country's death toll now stands at 7,976 and total cases detected now stands at 350,667.
Of the 11 people to die, one was from South Ayrshire, data shows.
A total of 93 cases were detected in Ayrshire overnight with the region's total now at 24,511.
Ayrshire ICU numbers remain below five while 21 people are in NHS Ayrshire & Arran facilities with Covid.
Nationally, ICU numbers are down by three to 55 from yesterday and hospital numbers have decreased by two to 381.
Figures released this afternoon show the Ayrshire towns and villages with low instances of COVID-19 cases up to August 2.
In East Ayrshire, nine of the 30 areas are suppressed. Altonhill South, Longpark and Hillhead has the highest case rate in East Ayrshire at the moment (315.2).
Suppressed: Cumnock Rural; Cumnock South and Craigens; Darvel; Doon Valley South; Galston; Mauchline; New Farm Loch South; Newmilns; Southcraig and Beansburn.
Not suppressed: Altonhill South, Longpark and Hillhead; Auchinleck; Piersland; Stewarton West; Earlston and Hurlford Rural; Kilmarnock South Central and Caprington; Kilmaurs.; Crosshouse, Gatehead and Kilmaurs Rural; Grange, Howard and Gargieston; Cumnock North; Stewarton East; New Cumnock; Doon Valley North; Mauchline Rural; Northern and Irvine Valley Rural; Drongan; Dean and New Farm Loch North; Bellfield and Kirkstyle; Shortlees; Bonnyton and Town Centre; Altonhill North and Onthank.
In North Ayrshire, three of 37 areas are suppressed. Ardrossan North East; has the highest case rate (533.9).
Suppressed: Ardrossan Central; Dreghorn; Irvine Fullarton.

In South Ayrshire, just one of 25 areas are suppressed. Annbank, Mossblown and Tarbolton – the coalfields has the highest case rate in the area (240.2).
