Jude Bellingham has reaffirmed his desire to remain at Borussia Dortmund amid continued speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Bellingham has long been the subject of speculation surrounding his future at Dortmund, with Liverpool reportedly among his potential suitors.

The 18-year-old midfielder is considered one of the hottest prospects in football, having joined BVB from Birmingham City in the summer of 2020.

Bellingham went on to enjoy a fine debut season at the Westfalenstadion, with a memorable goal in the Champions League against Manchester City the highlight.

A call up to the England squad for the European Championships in the summer followed and all the indications are that he is ready to go up another gear this season.

And speaking back in October, former Premier League midfielder Craig Hignett claimed that Bellingham has been telling people he is Liverpool bound next summer.

“I think I’ve heard it on good authority and I can’t say where I’ve heard it from, but apparently he has been saying that he is Liverpool bound,” he told BBC Radio Merseyside via LFC Transfer Room.

However, the ECHO understands that while Liverpool have long been admirers of Bellingham, any talk of a move is premature.

And when speaking about Dortmund in a recently released documentary, the England international claimed the club is "the perfect place to learn".

"I've never been part of a team that suits me so well,” he said in the 'JB22 - Dortmund's high flyer', documentary via Bulinews.

The youngster then continued: "It feels so good. There is no better club in the world when it comes to bringing out young players and developing them for the next level.

"I want to develop here and give something back by winning titles and games. Dortmund is the perfect place to learn your craft and learn about the game."
