Joe Exotic's husband Dillon Passage has expressed excitement at the Tiger King 's return from the coronavirus quarantine he was holed up at.
Joe - real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage - was earlier this month transferred from the Grady County Jail in Oklahoma to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, after inmates at his previous facility tested positive for COVID-19.
Hinting at a possibility of Joe, 57, leaving jail isolation, Dillon - who currently regulates Joe's Facebook page - took to the social media site to update fans.
Sharing a link to a story about people dressing up to go outside amid a lockdown in Australia, the 24-year-old penned: "Shout out to Australia! One more day and Joe will be out of quarantine. #FreeJoeExotic."
And what's made things worse for the couple is that they are not able to contact each other while Joe is in quarantine.
Joe, 57, along with other lags currently isolating behind bars to ensure they're not infected, is not permitted to make phone calls or check or send emails until he comes out.
Prisons across the US have been restricting the movement of their inmates after the coronavirus pandemic hit North America.
Some 2.2million are behind bars in the States, many of who are awaiting trial, while other criminals are asking to be released on compassionate grounds to prevent themselves from getting sick.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show last Wednesday, Dillon he's not spoken to Joe since he was transferred.
"We speak like three to five times every day, but since he's been moved to this new facility, they are putting him on a COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases," he said.
"So I've yet to speak to him since he moved."
Joe is currently serving a 22-year sentence behind bars for two counts of murder-for-hire and 17 other wildlife offences.
He met Dillon through the Grindr app and had their first date at his own restaurant The Safari Bar.
The pair, who share a 33-year age gap, married just two weeks after meeting for the first time.
The self-acclaimed "gay, gun-toting cowboy with a mullet" went through a string of husbands in his lifetime.
Though Joe got legally married four times, he actually tied the knot with five different men after a non-binding ceremony with one of his husbands.
