The British Army is seeking new officers nationwide - and no degree is needed.

According to the army job advert: "You don’t need a degree for many Officer roles, and specific entry requirements vary from role to role.

"What we look for in our Officer Cadets is leadership potential, a sense of purpose and the drive to do great things.

"With these qualities in place, we can give you the training you need to take your skills and abilities and shape them into something amazing, whether you’re fresh out of school, are professionally qualified or already building a career."

Starting salaries are around £27,200 rising to around £32,800 after a year's training.

Training starts at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, and if you make the cut and are commissioned, you will be expected to take charge of 30 soldiers.

Waking night support worker

Care in Mind is after a walking night support worker to help young people with complex mental health needs at a residential home in West Kirby, Wirral.

The job involves working nights supporting the residents with therapy, planning social and leisure activities, giving medication and completing associated paperwork.

Pay is £9.54 per hour with an additional 50p per hour unsociable hours payment, and the role includes 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
